Have we finally cottoned on?

Have we finally cottoned on?

At this point, our Dispatch has become a glorified brain dump for me, and this month we’ve been juggling new styles, debating fabrics (you all voted for the print I secretly loved the least, thanks for keeping me humble), and wading through admin.

It’s been raining in Sydney, and I’ve been planning for summer, which feels a bit counterintuitive, but it has at least distracted me from the fact that it’s meant to rain for another week.

Recently, we stumbled across a 100% cotton fabric embroidered with the sweetest little diamond shapes woven through the weave, and it sparked a thought: what if our best selling silhouette, the Camryn Top, took a little summer holiday of its own?

Have we cottoned on to how a soft and durable fabric could breathe new life into a classic?

Cotton isn’t just cute, she’s functional. It’s cooling, easy to wear, and built to last season after season. It holds its shape beautifully, meaning we could give the Camryn Top a few playful tweaks, a refreshed neckline, a subtly cropped hem and bring a new lease of life to our classic style without losing the fit, comfort, and charm everyone already loves.

A few weeks ago, I joked about staging a minor workplace incident just to take a break from our Camryn Top. But the more I thought about it, the more I realised: rather than breaking the mould, why not reinvent the wheel? Have we cottoned on to the secret sauce fashion houses have used for millennia before us?

Our Camryn Tops are cute, supportive, and most importantly, reliable. More loyal than most men and just as trustworthy as your best friend, she’s been our North Star through the 7th & York maze for four years now.

So here’s my question to you: do you want to see our best selling styles in a new fabric? Is it fresh enough to become our new normal, or would you prefer we step away entirely?

Maybe a cotton revolution could to the best way to keep our classics current.
