As a close friend of 7th & York, we love collaborating with Aeisha and are continually inspired by her artistry, energy, and ability to make others feel confident and beautiful. Bookings are highly sought after, but if you’re lucky enough to secure a spot, you can enquire via her website or slide into her DMs.

1. What first sparked your love for makeup, and when did you realise it could become your full-time career?

I’ve always had a creative spark in me and a strong desire to create. I’m not sure why makeup became my medium, but I’ve always found it so fascinating and have loved helping others feel beautiful and confident in the process. A lot of people wouldn’t know this, but I actually grew up in country Victoria, and I always knew I wouldn’t be able to make it a full-time career if I stayed there. However, I don’t think I ever expected to have the career I do now, so I’m grateful for it every day.

2. If you had to describe your makeup style as a mood or personality, what would it be and why?

If I had to describe my makeup style as a mood or personality, it would be effortlessly cool. I gravitate towards enhancing natural beauty and drawing attention to certain features, like the lips or eyes, while keeping the skin glowing and polished rather than packing on product.

3. Who is your ultimate style or makeup muse, and is there a celebrity look you’ve always wanted to recreate?

My ultimate style or makeup muse would probably be Patrick Ta - he blends effortless with glam so perfectly, and I just love his style. There are also so many amazing makeup artists out there who constantly inspire me, but I think most of my inspiration comes from the person sitting in front of me - their features, their look, and their vibe.

4. What is one product you absolutely cannot live without in your kit, and what is the most unexpected product you swear by?

Asking me to choose just one product I can’t live without feels like choosing between my children, but I would have to say NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer. It’s high coverage and super blurring - I’ve gone through hundreds of these in my time as an MUA. An unexpected product I swear by is Glossier Exfoliating Skin Perfector. Using this as skin prep has completely changed the game for me.

5. When a client sits in your chair, what is your favourite part of the process from first chat to final reveal?

My favourite part of the process is honestly feeling a client’s energy and confidence shift and getting to be part of the reason why. I also love getting to know people, learning about their lives, and being part of so many special days. I’ve been doing this for eight years now, and that feeling never gets old.

6. If you could only sip one cocktail while getting ready for a big event, what would it be and why?

If I could only sip one cocktail while getting ready for a big event, it would be a diiiirty martini. I love anything that’s not too sweet, and olives really hit the spot for me - so that’s my current go-to!

7. What is something exciting coming up for AP Artistry, or a dream project you would love to bring to life in the future?

Something exciting coming up for Aeisha Makeup is the launch of a new studio in collaboration with Society Salon, called The Mezzanine. We’re currently in the process of fitting out the space, but it’s been a dream for so long to have a place like this to work from, and it’s finally happening. Envision NYC loft style, lots of windows, and located inside a hair salon - it couldn’t be more perfect!
